Reminder: Impacted Clubs can apply for $5000 through the Community Sport Emergency Flood Assistance Program

The Community Sport Emergency Flood Assistance Program is providing $5 million of support for clubs, organisations and associations that have been adversely affected by flooding.

This program is providing a financial lifeline to affected clubs and active recreation organisations with swift, practical support to get back up and running.

$5,000 grants are available to support recovery costs towards replacing sport, injury prevention and first aid equipment, canteen and clubroom items and maintenance equipment.

There’s a simple online application to fill in with successful recipients expected to receive the funding within 10 working days of approval of application.

Applicants will not be required to provide cost breakdowns for equipment/resources they intend to claim.

With communities taking a battering in the floods, the Program will help support affected organisations return to sport and active recreation sooner, bringing communities together.

The funding is part of the Government’s commitment to help flood affected communities begin their recovery, make community sport more accessible and inclusive, stimulate local economies, bring communities together, and build local sport and volunteer opportunities.

To find if your club is in an eligible local government area visit the Financial Help for South Eastern Floods webpage.

Applications will close 5pm, 13 January 2023, or when funding is exhausted. For more information about the program, eligibility and how to apply visit the link belowsport.vic.gov.au
