The Talent Identification and Development Centre (TIDC) Program is a part-time program, working with clubs to identify and develop our talented players for the Pathways programs.
TIDC Program & Pathways Information
The primary focus of the FV Boys TIDC Program is to support the ongoing development of talented FV boys’ youth players. The TIDC Program sees players exposed to a high-quality learning environment and an increase in high level games.
Further, it will enhance the process for talent identification and selection of representative teams and provide additional opportunities for benchmarking.
In 2025, the TIDC will offer selected players the to train with FV coaches, whilst still training & playing with their clubs. This will consist of two (2) training Blocks & sessions held between March - September. In 2025 this will include the Football Victoria (FV) State Championship. Players will be offered spots for the duration of program between the March-September period.
The TIDC sessions will also assist in the identification of players throughout the season & form part of the development & selection process for FV representative squads, FV Talent ID Matches, FA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Matches, FV training camps & tournament selection opportunities (FA National Youth Championships for 2010 & 2009 born).
TIDC players train one night a week with their allocated TIDC squad and participate in TIDC matches through the year. All TIDC players are required to train at least twice a week and play matches with their current club.

Identified girls are selected to train at a training camp and will play matches against other regions or Girls NTC Squads. At the TIDC gala day to be held at a centralised location, including a cost recovery fee.
Players who are not selected after the first camp can still be identified in the club environment and invited to into the subsequent Talent ID Camps.
Following on from the trials, identified players train one night a month with the TIDC Squad at the Home of Matildas. All TIDC players are required to train and play matches with their current club.
Initial player selection will be based on nominations from clubs, tournaments or expression of interests while also taking into consideration scouted players and players that participated in previous FV Programs. Trials will then be conducted prior to the camps.
Throughout the duration of the program players can be scouted and invited to trial in the program. TIDC sessions will run during the season as part of the players development. Squads of 18+ players will work in blocks. Technical staff will monitor players and review positions in the program at the end of each training block.
