Football Victoria (FV) is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking new partnership with Dribl, ushering in a new era for football competition management, administration and engagement across the state.
This long-awaited technology upgrade will deliver a vastly improved experience and greater efficiency for both administrators and participants, bringing all competition activities into a modern, fully digital environment via an intuitive app and web platform.
From NPL Victoria through to MiniRoos, Dribl will be rolled out across all metropolitan and regional competitions, modernising how football in Victoria is experienced.
FV’s adoption of Dribl will streamline competition administration and deliver real-time engagement for the entire football community. Club administrators will manage player and team information digitally, ensuring accurate record keeping - and finally putting an end to paper-based team sheets at every level of the game across Victoria.
Participants and fans alike will enjoy a new level of access with the ability to view scores, results and standings. Users can follow their favourite clubs, teams and leagues, platforming a huge boost for community engagement and fan experience.
Key features of Dribl include:
- A mobile app for participants, clubs, teams and fans to view match centres, standings, statistics, results and follow their favourite teams, clubs and leagues
- Digital team sheets replacing paper-based processes
- Simplified administration – clubs can manage team sheets, record results and enter goal scorers and match data directly in-app
- Referee appointments and match fee payments
- Enhanced competition management, with improved tracking of yellow card accumulations, infringements, and player eligibility
- Real-time communication tools, including push notifications for postponed or cancelled matches to all registered participants
- Integrated reporting for match officials, enabling digital submission of send-off and incident reports
FV CEO, Dan Birrell emphasised the wide-reaching benefits of the partnership for the community.
“This partnership represents a huge leap forward for Victorian football, modernising the way we manage and experience our game.
“Dribl’s technology delivers the features our community has long been asking for and the tools our game deserves.
“It’s about making football easier to administer and access for everyone involved.”
Dribl CEO, Rob Georgievski, said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to modernising football and strengthening community connection.
“We’re proud to partner with Football Victoria to deliver a modern, unified platform built for football.
“This collaboration is about more than technology, it’s about empowering administrators, referees and clubs with tools that make administration simpler and the game more connected than ever.
“We’re equally excited to give the Victorian football community a more engaging way to follow the action and to play a small part in enhancing the experience for everyone who loves the game.”
The rollout of Dribl across Victorian football will commence with the release of the Advanced competitions fixtures in early December 2025, with training and onboarding for clubs, referees and administrators to begin from November.
Participants will be able to access the platform via the Dribl app and web portal from December.
