Requirement for 2024 AGM (held in 2025):
The Club ensures all participants of its teams are entitled to membership of the Club and therefore may vote (or their parent or guardian may vote) in an election for any of the Club's officeholders. The Club's constitution must ensure its team participants are recognised as voting members of the Club.
What does this mean?
Clubs must provide their membership with an opportunity to vote in an election for the Club's officeholders.
This basic premise is enshrined in a Club's constitution, and the Club must provide evidence that not only does it have a constitution, but is actively applying it into practice.
