As we bid farewell to another challenging year for football in the coming weeks, Football Victoria (FV) is well underway with planning for the 2022 season, including the finalisation of Player Registration and Team Entry fees.
FV is committed to ensuring football is as affordable as possible for all those who want to play our beautiful game. Unfortunately, FV is anticipating running costs to rise sharply in the new year, with insurance costs in particular expected to rise approximately 20% for the 2022 season.
While traditionally these increases would be passed directly on to participants, FV is committed to doing its utmost to support our teams, players and families who make our game so special.
As a result, FV is pleased to confirm that it will absorb the majority of the upcoming cost increases for 2022, electing to only increase player registration and team entry fees by a CPI adjustment of approximately 3%.
This CPI adjustment follows the 2021 season in which there was no price increase and equates to a modest increase of between $1 and $6 per participant in relation to player registration fees.
