The 2023 Football Victoria All-Abilities League

The 2023 Football Victoria (FV) All-Abilities League is fast approaching with six clubs participating in the competition for the first time.

The All-Abiltiies League started in 2017 to enable players with a disability to have the opportunity to play football in a safe and inclusive environment.  The league consists of a competitive, semi-competitive, and social league for ages 14 and over and a junior’s league for ages 6 to 14.

On Saturday, April 29, the All-Abiltiies pre-season Gala Day will be held at Darebin International Sports Centre where all teams come together to play games, and warm-up for the season ahead.

The season officially kicks off on Saturday, May 6 with the end of season Celebration Day pencilined in for August 19 at Knox Regional Football Centre. 

The Celebration Day hosts the league Grand Final and allows for players to come together,  have fun and receive their medals.

The All-Abilities league consists of fortnightly matches with each round teams gather at one clubs ground to play their game. The senior divisions are 7-a-side and the games go for 40-minutes. while the junior games are 5-a-side and go for 20-minutes
 

2023 All-Abilities League Key Dates

The following six clubs are entering a side in the competition for the first time:

  • Wangaratta City FC

  • Avondale FC

  • Jae Man

  • Footscray United FC

  • Doreen DOCS (DOC Football Academy & Doreen FC)

  • Watsonia DOCS (DOC Football Academy & Watsonia Heights FC)

There are 30 teams and 16 clubs participating in the 2023 All-Abiltiies League
