Following three action-packed days, the 2023 FV State Futsal Championships have come to a close with Champions crowned in nine categories at the La Trobe University Sports Stadium in Bundoora.
All age groups and age criteria were in line with the 2024 Football Australia National Futsal Championships, which will be staged in Queensland.

After the regular fixturing in the Youth Women bracket it was Wagga Futsal who finished with a perfect eight points, five in front of BGS+ in second place, earning themselves a spot in the final.
With a spot in the final on the line, BGS+ defeated third-placed Melbourne Evolution Futsal Club 3-0 to book their chance at Championship glory. BGS+ pulled off an upset against the top-ranked side, defeating Wagga Football 4-3 to claim gold in the Youth Women Division.
In the Girls 13, East City Wolves ended the group competition on top of the ladder with 12 points, while Valkyries Futsal Club Navy finished second with nine points.
The first finals match-up in this age group saw fourth-placed South Melbourne Women's FC taking on fifth-placed Valkyries Futsal Club Sky Blue. South Melbourne claimed a 3-2 victory and took on the East City Wolves for a spot in the final, who proved too strong; winning 10-2.
Eastern Rangers defeated Valkyries Futsal Club Navy in the second semi-final, although fell two goals short in the final with the East City Wolves claiming the title.
South Melbourne FC finished on top of the ladder in the Girls 11 competition with Eastern Rangers not too far behind in second.
Freelance Futsal was comprehensively beaten by South Melbourne in the first semi-final 11-1, while West Victorian Warriors upset the Eastern Rangers 1-0 to set up the final later in the day. South Melbourne capped off a dominant tournament with a 5-2 victory over West Victoria Warriors in the final.
In the Girls 15/16, Galaxy FC topped the group with 12 points and BGS+ finished in second place with nine points after the regular fixtures were done and dusted.
With a spot in the semi-finals on the line, East City Wolves U15 defeated Freelance Futsal 6-1, setting up a clash with Galaxy FC who were ready for their opponents, claiming a 5-1 victory. BGS+ defeated East City Wolves U16 in the other semi-final, setting up a 1v2 battle for the title. Galaxy FC defeated BGS+ 4-1 in the final, finishing the tournament undefeated.
Jaguars Melbourne Futsal Club topped Group A of the Boys 13/14 and Williams Landing FC finished ahead of East City Wolves and Fitroy Futsal Club on goal difference in Group B.
The Jaguars breezed through the final, while Williams Landing just got past the Vic Vipers by one goal, setting up the winners of each pool to face off in the final where the Jaguars claimed a 5-3 victory.
Melbourne Dragons Futsal Club had a perfect group run in the Boys 12 competition, finishing on 12 points, while there was a logjam in the middle
East City Wolves easily accounted for Caro Futsal for a spot in the semis but the Dragons continued their great tournament, winning 9-2. West Vic Warriors booked their spot in the last game in their age group with a 5-3 win over FTS Futsal, but the Melbourne Dragons Futsal Club proved too strong, claiming a 10-2 victory in the final.
In the Boys 11 category, Williams Landing Futsal Club finished its group matches undefeated, with Reservoir United (Red) only one game behind. In the first quarter-final, The Mighty Warriors defeated Reservoir United (Blue) 7-3, and on the other side of the draw, Fitzroy Futsal Club comprehensively beat Freelance Futsal, both booking themselves a spot in the semi-finals.
Williams Landing ended The Mighty Warriors campaign, winning the semi-final 9-3, while Fitzroy Futsal Club upset the second-placed Reservoir United (Red) 3-2. Williams Landing continued in its winning ways in the final, beating Fitzroy Futsal Club 8-2.
After a dominant pool match campaign, West Vic Warriors Mixed assured their spot in the final of the Boys 10 competition.
FT Futsal defeated East City Wolves 3-1 in the semi-final but after a game-off the West Vic Warriors Mixed were rested and ready to go, winning the final 3-1.
East City Wolves finished with six wins in Mixed 8/9 with FTS Futsal U9 and West Vic Warriors not too far behind.
FTS made their way to the final after beating West Vic Warriors 5-1 and the East City Warriors easily accounted for the Vic Vipers FC Blue and continued their momentum, smashing FTS Futsla U9 10-4 in the Cup Final. Jaguars Melbourne Futsal Club claimed the Plate Final against Vic Vipers FC White 8-2.
