The FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023TM is coming – is your Club ready?
Football Australia (FA) and Football Victoria (FV) co-hosted a club forum on Monday 22 May to interrogate that question, discussing opportunities and actions to ensure Clubs are prepared to maximise outcomes from this year’s tournament.
Over 70 attendees from Victorian Clubs joined the discussion at La Trobe University, Bundoora, where representatives from FA and FV’s Women & Girls, Legacy, Game Changer, MiniRoos and Marketing teams shared tangible activities, programs and toolkits that Clubs can embrace in the coming months.
Representatives from Moreland United SC, Yarraville Glory FC and Essendon Royals SC featured in a panel, sharing their own experiences and unique journey to achieving equity.
Both the Game Changer program and Our Game Plan portal are valuable resources for Clubs, to access planning and promotional tools for the new programs and initiatives running across each phase of the tournament and beyond.
As a key initiative of Female Football Week, attendees took home an Our Game/FFW merchandise pack, to bring the colour to their club activations across the week.
FV and FA thank all attendees for their attendance; and collaborative, engaging discussion following the presentations. Fantastic ideas and initiatives were shared from the floor, providing direction and inspiration for other Clubs to embrace.
