Football Victoria is thrilled to announce that Sport and Recreation Victoria’s 2024-25 Sporting Club Grants Program is now open, offering essential funding for community sport and active recreation organisations across Victoria.
This program presents a remarkable opportunity for grassroots clubs to access vital resources that enhance participation, promote safe and sustainable practices, and foster inclusive, thriving local communities.

- Applications Close: Friday, 11 October 2024 (4 pm)
- Notification of Funding Outcomes: Late December 2024
About the Program
The Sporting Club Grants Program aims to empower clubs to overcome barriers to participation, build a skilled and supported workforce, and promote equity, diversity, and inclusivity in Victorian sport. This funding will help clubs:
- Purchase uniforms and essential safety equipment
- Strengthen volunteer and coaching capabilities
- Enhance governance practices
- Encourage participation from underrepresented groups
- Build resilient, sustainable sporting communities
2024-25 Funding Categories
This year’s program features four funding categories:
On-field Uniforms or Equipment
- Up to $1,000 for playing uniforms, participation equipment, safety gear, and first-aid supplies.
Volunteers and Officials
- Up to $5,000 for projects that improve volunteer, coach, and official training, as well as volunteer retention initiatives.
Access and Engagement
- Up to $1,000 for tools that enhance accessibility and governance.
- Up to $4,000 to plan and deliver new or modified sport and active recreation programs.
Competitors
- Up to $750 to support individual athletes with travel, accommodation, and event registration for representative competitions, selection trials, or training camps.
How to Apply
Eligible organisations can submit their applications through the Grants Portal. Clubs can submit up to 10 applications across the different categories.
