The Victorian state team squads for the 2024 Boys' National Youth Championships have been announced, showcasing talented players from across the state.
This year, Football Victoria (FV) is entering three U15s and three U16s teams into the tournament, which will be held at WIN Stadium, JJ Kelly Park, and Ian McLennan Park in Wollongong from July 16-21.
FV Technical Director Boris Seroshtan expressed his enthusiasm for the Championships, stating, "Our boys' teams will have the opportunity to compete against the best young talents from across the country, furthering their development and exposure."
Seroshtan highlighted the importance of these championships for player development: "Our participation in both the Girls' and Boys' National Youth Championships highlights the depth of talent within our community and our unwavering commitment to nurturing young footballers. These championships are critical for the development of our athletes, providing them with invaluable experience and the chance to compete at a national level."
He added, "We are incredibly excited about these upcoming events and look forward to the support and involvement of our staff and community in making them a resounding success. Let’s come together to cheer on our teams and celebrate the spirit of football."
The squads, representing the best of Victoria, are set to make a strong impact at the Championships, building on the state's proud football tradition. The event promises to be a pivotal moment for these young athletes, offering them a platform to showcase their skills and gain national recognition.
