National Volunteer Week, set for May 20-26, 2024, stands as Australia’s premier annual volunteering celebration, highlighting individuals' invaluable contributions to various causes.
Football Victoria is proud to join this celebration by spotlighting five remarkable volunteers from our community, recognizing their diverse talents and unwavering passion for volunteering.
Stuart Johnson
Although relatively new to Rosebud Soccer Club, Stuart Johnson has dived in headfirst to help reinvent the club's identity and shape its future.
Whether he is spearheading sponsorship efforts, sourcing playing apparel, or cooking Thursday night meals after training, Rosebud SC said Stuart’s efforts are an "invaluable contribution" to the Club.
"His passion and leadership resonate through every facet of the club," Rosebud SC continued.
Stuart’s engagement extends beyond the team he coaches, or the committee position he holds, as he advocates within the community to elevate football's status as a fast-growing sport in the region.
His dedication to creating a supportive environment for those struggling with mental health has been a game changer at Rosebud SC.
Stuart provides solutions and pathways, fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere and he also tirelessly advocates for the club’s female teams, working to build their numbers and ensure their contributions are recognised.
