Football Victoria (FV) is excited to welcome both current and aspiring commentators to The Home of The Matildas on Friday, January 31, 2025, for an evening of education, networking, and preparation for the upcoming National Premier League Victoria Men's and Women's seasons.
The event will coincide with the 2025 Men's Community Shield clash between Oakleigh Cannons and South Melbourne, kicking off at 7:30 PM. The evening will begin at 5:00 PM with a series of engaging sessions designed to prepare commentators, both experienced and new, for the season ahead.

2025 NPL Commentary Information Session EOI
FV's media team, alongside experienced commentators and NPL staff, will deliver talks aimed at improving the overall quality and professionalism of match-day coverage.
Attendees will gain invaluable insights from guest speakers, with sessions focusing on:
- Enhancing commentary techniques and storytelling.
- Understanding the expectations and standards of FV broadcasts.
- Best practices for delivering high-quality match-day calls.
The night will be particularly beneficial for aspiring commentators looking to kickstart their journey, as well as experienced callers seeking to refine their craft. Attendees will also enjoy the opportunity to connect and network with FV's commentary community ahead of a massive 2025 football season.
