Football Victoria (FV) is thrilled to invite both current and aspiring commentators to The Home of The Matildas (HoTM) on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, for an evening of learning, networking, and preparation ahead of the 2026 season.
Starting at 6:00 PM, the event will feature a series of interactive sessions designed to support commentators of all experience levels - from beginners looking to kickstart their journey to seasoned voices wanting to refine their craft.
In line with FV’s commitment to equity and inclusion, the session will strongly encourage women and girls interested in commentary to attend, providing a supportive environment to learn, practise and build confidence behind the microphone.
Attendees will hear from FV’s media team and experienced commentators, covering topics such as:
- Enhancing commentary techniques and storytelling
- Understanding FV broadcast standards and expectations
- Delivering high-quality, professional match-day calls
The evening will also provide invaluable networking opportunities, connecting attendees with the broader commentary community and club media ahead of a busy and exciting 2026 season.
