The other award all of the regions were vying for was the Corrie Koppen Fair Play Award which this year was awarded to FV Greater Bendigo.
This annual award, which was brought in last year to celebrate the life and legacy of the late great Cornelius “Corrie” Koppen, is awarded to the region deemed to have played and conducted itself in the spirit of the game.
Today capped a fantastic weekend of play which saw 1,200 players from across our eight regions come together in Geelong to play the game we love.
Congratulations to all of our players and coaches who took to the pitch this weekend. Shout out to all of the support staff and family members who made this year's Country Championships so special. And a massive thank you to the City of Greater Geelong for supporting this year's Championships.
