The tournament also provided an opportunity for players from regional Victoria to test themselves at the state level, with Victorian Country teams competing across the four divisions alongside metropolitan-based Victorian squads.

The tournament culminated in four grand finals, with the VIC Strikers claiming the Under-14 Female title after a 1–0 victory over the VIC Rovers.

NSW Regional secured the Under-14 Male title with a 2–0 win over VIC Rovers, while VIC Rovers took out the Under-13 Female competition after defeating the VIC Strikers 2–1.

The Under-13 Male final went to penalties, with VIC Strikers overcoming South Australia Blue 3–1 from the spot after the match finished 0–0.

Alongside the matches, all games were recorded and coded by Premier Data, providing each participating state with additional information and insights to assist with the ongoing assessment and development of players throughout the talent identification pathway.

FV Head of Youth Development Steve Mautone said the tournament continued to provide a valuable opportunity to identify and assess emerging talent," he said.

“This year’s ID Cup has once again provided a great opportunity to bring together some of the best emerging young talent from across Victoria and interstate.

“The standard of football across the three days was excellent, and it was great to see the players competing in a high-performance environment and testing themselves against some of the best players in their age groups.

“For FV, the tournament remains an important part of our talent identification process and gives our coaches and staff another opportunity to assess players as they continue along their development pathway.”
