2026 Victorian Premier League fixtures released

A new season of Victorian Premier League (VPL) action is on the horizon, with the VPLM1 and VPLM2 seasons beginning on Friday February 13th and the VPLW returning on Friday March 6th.

And we are incredibly excited to release the 2026 fixtures for all three competitions:

VPLM 1 2026 Fixtures

VPLM 2 2026 Fixtures

VPLW 2026 Fixtures

Brunswick City, who narrowly missed out on promotion into the NPLM, will open the 2026 VPLM1 season when they host Northcote City.

Nunawading City have the honour of kicking-off the 2026 VPLM2 season, as the Essendon Royals travel to Mahoneys Reserve for some Friday night football in the eastern suburbs.

Three weeks later the 2026 VPLW season arrives, with Brunswick Juventus, fresh off two seasons in the NPLW, travelling to Hillsview Recreation Reserve to take on a Bundoora United side coming off a strong 2025 season.

The first weekend of a new season gives us our first opportunity to see how the newly promoted and relegated sides stack up against their new opponents.

Brunswick Juventus, Eltham Redbacks and North Geelong Warriors will be keen to establish themselves in the VPLM1 following their promotion from the VPLM2.

Surprisingly, their Round 1 opponents will be the three sides relegated from the NPLM, as Juventus host Port Melbourne, the Warriors welcome the Melbourne Knights to Elcho Park and the Rebacks take on Melbourne Victory on the road.

Bayside Argonauts, Keilor Park and Malvern City all battled their way out of the State League Men’s competition in 2025 and will now get to test their mettle in the VPLM2 in 2026.

That test against proven VPLM2 sides will have to wait for the Argonauts and Malvern City, who drew each other in Round 1. And Keilor Park will start their VPLM2 experience against the relegated Eastern Lions.

Meanwhile, Kingston City will head west to take on Werribee City and Moreland City will host Altona City at Campbell Reserve.

Moving on to VPLW, we’ll first get a look at FC Clifton Hill when they take on Melbourne University in Round 1 at The Home of The Matildas, Ballarat City will get their first taste of VPLW football when they host Bayside Argonauts and Manningham United will come up against the Eltham Redbacks to close out Round 1.

The final regular season round for all three competitions will be the weekend of August 30, with the VPLM1 and VPLM2 playoffs kicking-off on the weekend of September 13 and concluding the following week.

FV Competitions Manager Dylan McKenzie is looking forward to a big year of VPL football in 2026.

“The countdown is on for what promises to be an enormous season in the Victorian Premier League Men’s and Women’s competitions, and we cannot wait to kick-off all three competitions in February and March.

“On behalf of the team here at FV, we’d like to thank all Clubs for their hard work and collaboration throughout the fixturing period.

“After a 2025 season that saw two teams run away with the competition, this upcoming VPLW season promises to be tighter than ever.

“We have some huge clubs from across the Victorian football landscape within the VPL Men’s competitions in 2026 and we look forward to seeing which clubs emerge from what should be two hotly contested competitions.”

Today's release also includes the 2026 fixtures for the VPLW Reserves and the VPLM1 and VPLM2 U23 and U20's competitions.

Stay tuned for information on ECAL, which will allow fans, players and Club staff to sync the VPL fixtures with their personal calendars.
