A new era begins! Football Victoria (FV)’s first Australia Cup draw of 2022 was streamed today, with 104 teams playing off this weekend in the first of Victoria's qualifying rounds.
This was FV’s first draw under this name, following Football Australia’s announcement on the weekend that Australia’s largest national knockout football competition, formerly the FFA Cup, will now be known as the Australia Cup.
While the 2021 event may only just have concluded, we are excited to see the Australia Cup return to our pitches for 2022, with over 200 Victorian Clubs participating this year.
Round 1 will see 48 Mens State League 4 clubs and 45 Mens State League 5 clubs, along with 11 Regional and Association club entrants, playing off to make it through to Round 2. Full fixture details are below and will be available on Sports TG shortly.
