On Saturday, July 6, Avondale FC and Altona Magic SC will compete for 'The Autism Cup' at Paisley Park, proudly presented in conjunction with Beyond the Boundary.
The day showcases the leadership of the two Clubs, which developed a strong bond through a common goal of raising awareness of autism, and funds for an organisation that supports children and families living with autism.
The Autism Cup has ignited a passion within the Altona Magic SC and Avondale FC football communities, who have spent the past two months organizing this showcase event for a great cause. This initiative has fostered a sense of unity and purpose, bringing the community together.
“Avondale FC is passionate about supporting our community to ensure we create opportunities for all to enjoy soccer,” Avondale FC President, Anthony Warden said.
“It has been truly amazing what has been achieved in such a short period of time through the passion and dedication of our soccer communities,” Altona Magic SC President Jim Ilievski added.
The event promises a day filled with fun and community spirit, starting with a kid's carnival, followed by a President's fundraising function, and culminating in the much-anticipated Autism Cup match between the senior men's teams of Altona Magic and Avondale FC.
Dean and Stefania, Co-Founders of Beyond the Boundary said they were "overwhelmed" by the dedication of the two Clubs to help realise the dream of raising awareness about autism.
“We believe that by raising awareness and promoting acceptance, we can help create a society where individuals with autism can thrive and reach their full potential," they said.
"The support and enthusiasm from the community have been truly inspiring, and we are grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through The Autism Cup."
