The path to the 2025 Dockerty Cup Final has become clear for our four remaining clubs, as the semi-final fixtures have been confirmed.
The first club drawn was NPLM powerhouse Heidelberg United, who will host VPL2 up-starts and emerging giant-killers Nunawading City.
Our second match-up will see the reigning Dockerty Cup champions South Melbourne welcome Avondale FC to Lakeside Stadium in an all NPLM blockbuster.
The two matches can be fixtured between Thursday July 10 and Tuesday July 15, an off-weekend for senior mens football in the state.
Football Victoria Head of Competitions Frank Karatzas was happy with the result of the draw which he described as a win for fans.
“No matter who wins in the two semi-final matches, football fans will be guaranteed a massive Cup Final in August.
“We will see either the current NPLM ladder leaders or a fairytale story take on either the current Cup holders or the club many would argue is the strongest in the NPLM competition.
“The 2025 Dockerty Cup competition has already served up so many incredible moments and, after today’s draw, I don’t see that stopping anytime soon.”
The winners of the two semi-finals will automatically move through to the Dockerty Cup Final to be played on the weekend of August 10th.
However, all four of our semi-final clubs have now qualified for the Round of 32 of the Hahn Australia Cup. More details on this competition will be revealed soon.
