FC Bulleen Lions Head Coach Caitlin Friend has put pen to paper to remain at the club for season 2024.
Under the guidance of Friend, Bulleen claimed the Premiership in 2023, registering only two losses in the regular season.
Following an outstanding season, Bulleen fell short to South Melbourne in the NPLW Grand Final at The Home of the Matildas.
Bulleen Lions' said: "After another outstanding and successful season, FC Bulleen Lions is pleased to announce that Caitlin Friend has recommitted to coaching our Senior Women's team in 2024."
Friend first took the reigns of the Lions ahead of the 2021 NPLW season after a successful playing stint at the club, including winning the 2017 Golden Boot.
Since 2021, Friend has been an Assistant Coach for Melbourne Victory in the A-League W and since April this year has joined the Future Matildas as an Assistant Coach.
Friend is a former Women’s Super League player with Notts County, Melbourne Victory W-League product, Junior Matilda representative, and helped deliver Bulleen's first senior Championships in 2018.
Following her retirement, along with coaching at the Lions, she set up a training school called lite Female Football, which works on training young female footballers.
