Coaches Unite for 2025 CCC Community Coaching Conference

The Home of The Matildas played host to the 2025 Club Coach Coordinator (CCC) Community Coaching Conference brought on Saturday, August 2.

More than 60 passionate community coaches from across Victoria gathered for a full day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration, united by one goal, to strengthen grassroots football for players of all ages and abilities.

Football Victoria (FV) CCC Programs Manager Rob Taylor praised the enthusiasm and commitment of those in attendance.

“We’re incredibly lucky to have such a passionate and talented group helping to shape and grow community coaching,” Taylor said.

“The connections built here today will have a lasting impact across clubs and communities. Your efforts are truly appreciated.”

The conference program was headlined by FV’s high-performance coaching staff, who shared their expertise on a wide range of topics. Sessions covered technical and tactical development, effective training session planning, player engagement strategies, and building inclusive team environments.

Coaches were also able to take part in on-field demonstrations, breaking down drills and exercises that can be taken straight back to club training sessions.

We also welcomed Matt and Tess from Autism Spectrum Australia, who delivered an engaging presentation on All Abilities football.

The CCC program has experienced remarkable growth in 2025. Already, more than 800 coaches have participated in club visits, surpassing last year’s record of 650.

The momentum will carry into the program’s next marquee event, the CCC Gala Day, set for Sunday, October 12, again at The Home of The Matildas with more details to come.
