In March 2021, the Football Victoria (FV) Board of Directors established the Constitutional Reform Group (CRG) to review and seek feedback on FV’s Constitution.
In recent months, FV and the CRG have undertaken a period of extensive consultation through information sessions and surveys. The purpose of this engagement with the FV Membership (Zone Representatives & Standing Committees) as well as Clubs, Regional Associations and the broader community was conducted to discuss and evaluate potential reforms.
Following this, the CRG has identified a number of amendments which, if adopted, should strengthen the sport’s governance framework, providing broader representation and engagement across the football community. FV also recognises that the implementation of changes to its Constitution may also prompt Clubs and Regional Associations to review their own rules, regulations and policies.
As a result of the considerable work that has been undertaken, FV and the CRG have constructed the following Discussion Paper and Summary Infographic highlighting key elements of FV's Constitution and By-Laws for consideration.
