Football Victoria (FV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Angela Williams to the FV Board, effective 28 April 2024.
Dr Williams has 24 years of experience in clinical forensic medicine as a senior medical practitioner, holding postgraduate qualifications in medicine, public health, health management, law and business.
She holds extensive Board and Committee experience across a variety of sectors (Government and Not-For-Profit) including health, emergency services, justice, community safety, child welfare, the Australian Defence Force and AFL.
Dr Williams has also consistently been part of the Victorian football eco-system, including as Deputy Chair, valued member and contributor to the FV constitutional reform process, a senior member of the GDT, an active parent/participant at community football and a fervent advocate for equity in football.
Her expertise in Governance, with a high level of awareness of current Football matters, will inform and enrich the organisation.
Dr Williams’ appointment fills the vacancy left by the departure of Joanna Bladen at the 2022 AGM on December 11, 2023.
Dr Williams is excited for the challenge ahead.

FV received in excess of 40 high calibre applications for the vacancy, with the FV Sub Board Nominations Committee undertaking a thorough recruitment process, matching the impressive short-list of candidates against the Board Charter and requisite skills matrix.
