The Football Victoria (FV) 2025 Men’s Community Shield match details have been confirmed, with the match to be played at the Home of The Matildas (HoTM) on Friday, January 31.
In the 10th anniversary of the first Football Victoria (FV) organised Community Shield match, the 2024 Dockerty Cup winners South Melbourne FC will take on the 2024 National Premier League Victoria (NPL) Men’s champions Oakleigh Cannons FC – a match that also mirrors last season's NPLM Grand Final. Returning as a pre-season fixture, the match serves to launch the highly anticipated 2025 NPLM season, which kicks off the following week.
The women's Community Shield match will be held in the lead-up to the NPLW season on the weekend of March 7, where the 2024 Nike FC Cup champions FC Bulleen Lions will take on the NPLW Grand Final winners Heidelberg United FC. Further details will be provided shortly.
