Football Victoria is pleased to announce the release of the 2026 Season Calendar, confirming the dates of some of the biggest events and moments our community can look forward to next year.
The 2026 Football Victoria Season Calendar features the key dates, including the start and finish times for:
- National Premier Leagues
- Advanced Junior Leagues
- National and State Cup Competitions
- Victorian Premier Leagues
- Senior, Youth, Junior and Masters Community Competitions
- MiniRoos
- Geelong Competitions
- The Season Calendar for additional FV Regional Competitions will be released in due course
The newly designated Advanced Juniors - formerly NPL Juniors – will open the 2026 season on the weekend of 1 February, with Dockerty Cup rounds commencing a fortnight later.
That same weekend (February 15), the National Premier League Men’s and Women’s seasons will kick off together – a stellar launch for Victoria’s premier football competitions. This change has been made to accommodate the NPLW competition expanding from 12 teams to 14 in 2026, with an additional four rounds added to the 2026 fixture.
Nike FC Cup matches commence from March 22 and the Nike FC Cup Final and Dockerty Cup Final will now be held on separate weekends in early August.
All Competitions will be concluded by the weekend of September 20 inclusive of Finals Fixtures, with the final matches being the NPL Men’s and Women’s Grand Finals & VPLM Play offs.
