Football Victoria (FV) is thrilled to announce an exhilarating new event in partnership with Deploy: FV x Deploy Beach Football!
Scheduled for Saturday, 22nd February 2025, this action-packed day will take place at the iconic South Melbourne Life Saving Club, offering a unique barefoot football experience for junior players aged 10 to 15 and now additionally a Open Men's and Open Women's competition.
This first-of-its-kind event invites boys and girls across three age categories to compete for the ultimate title of “Beach Football Champions”:
- Under 10/11
- Under 12/13
- Under 14/15
- Men's Open Competition
- Women's Open Competition
Fast-Paced Action on the Sand FV x Deploy Beach Football will showcase thrilling 5v5 matches, where players battle it out in a high-energy, fun-filled format. Each game will be played with Deploy Beach Footballs, promising an authentic beach football experience.
The tournament will feature 5v5 matches, with each game lasting 20 minutes, divided into two 10-minute halves. Teams are guaranteed to play at least three fixtures. A unique aspect of this event is that no footwear is allowed, adding an exciting barefoot element to the competition. The official FV Beach Football Rules of Competition will be released on Monday, 13th January 2025, and shared with all registered teams to ensure a smooth and competitive day.
