Football Victoria celebrates the 2025 installment of All Abilities April

As April rolls around again, Football Victoria (FV) is incredibly proud to launch All Abilities April for another year.

Established in 2022, All Abilities April is a month-long celebration which shines a light on the great work in this space across the state as well as promoting the different ways people and Clubs can participate in all abilities programs.

All Abilities football programs have been developed for people with a disability or impairment, where the program has been modified or adapted to suit the various needs of participants.

Throughout April we'll be sharing stories from clubs and participants from Victoria and highlighting the elite pathway opportunities available. These stories will highlight the importance, significance and positive impact football and futsal has had on players.

New participants and volunteers:

Clubs and programs around Victoria are looking for new participants to come and try out football. It is a great opportunity to try out different programs and find a program that is best fit for you/your child.

We encourage new participants interested in trying out all abilities football or futsal, to give it a go. Programs include:

  • All Abilities Football (Club programs for all disability types)
  • All Abilities League (League for all disability types)
  • Wheelchair Football (For wheelchair or powerchair users)
  • Victorian Paralympic Football State Team Program – Elite Pathway Program (Only Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injuries or Stroke related impairments)
  • Powerchair football (For Powerchair users)
  • Blind or Vision Impaired Football (Blind or vision impairments)
  • Athletes With Disability Futsal – Elite pathway Program Only (All disabilities or impairments including Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Vision Impairment)
  • Deaf Futsal (For players who are deaf or hard of hearing)
