Football Victoria (FV) is on the lookout for more players, coaches and volunteers to get involved in All Abilities football in 2025!

FV is steadfast on its commitment to making football accessible for everyone, ensuring players with a disability have the opportunity to enjoy the game in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

2025 All Abilities Program

 

Players

The All Abilities League provides a structured and inclusive competition designed specifically for players with disabilities. It enables participants to play football in a fun and supportive environment while promoting social inclusion, teamwork, and personal development.

Alongside the All Abilities League, FV offers several specialised football programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of players across Victoria:

  • All Abilities Football – Includes club programs and the All Abilities League, open to players of all disabilities.
  • Wheelchair Football – Designed for players who use a wheelchair or powerchair.
  • Victorian Paralympic Football State Team Program – Supports players with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injuries, or Stroke-related impairments.
  • Powerchair Football – A dynamic sport for powerchair users.
  • Blind or Vision Impaired Football – Adapted for players with visual impairments.
  • Athletes with Disability Futsal – An inclusive futsal competition catering to players with a range of disabilities, including those who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or have vision impairments.
  • Deaf Futsal – Designed specifically for players who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Coaches/Volunteers

To ensure clubs are equipped to provide the best possible experience for players with disabilities, FV will host an All-Abilities Education Workshop for volunteers, coaches, and club administrators.

This workshop will provide valuable training on how to create an inclusive football environment and support players with varying needs.

The session will cover adaptive coaching strategies, player development, and best practices for fostering an inclusive football community. Clubs looking to establish or expand their All-Abilities programs are encouraged to attend.
