Football Victoria (FV) welcomed over 1,500 members of the Victorian football community to The Home of The Matildas on Sunday, October 12, for the third annual CCC Gala Day.
The event celebrated grassroots football, bringing together young players, coaches, and families from across the state.
FV CCC Programs Manager Rob Taylor described the atmosphere as “brilliant,” highlighting the spirit of the program on full display.
“It was clear how much the players enjoyed the opportunity to come together, represent their clubs, and engage in fun, positive football,” he said.
“Everyone’s support, organisation, and commitment to the day made everything run smoothly, and we are extremely grateful for the way each club contributed.
From managing teams and parents to encouraging fair play and participation, your involvement helped create a memorable experience for everyone.”

The CCC Gala Day promotes inclusivity, community engagement, and the joy of playing football. Bronze, Silver, and Gold packaged clubs from 2025 were invited to participate, providing an ideal opportunity to showcase young talent in a fun and supportive environment.
Over 50 teams took part, with more than 500 players taking the field across 100 games. A standout aspect of the day was the participation of 210 female players, reflecting the continued growth and strength of the women’s game in Victoria.
The CCC program’s inclusivity ensures girls and young women have the chance to develop their skills, compete in a supportive environment, and be part of football’s vibrant community. A testament to the ongoing investment and focus on nurturing the next generation of female footballers.
