Football Victoria launches Women and Girls Cerebral Palsy Football sessions for 2026

Football Victoria (FV) is proud to continue building inclusive programs that support women and girls with cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, or symptoms of stroke to get involved in the game.

Whether they’re new to football or aspiring to represent the ParaMatildas, FV’s sessions are open to all and will be run by experienced coaches at The Home of The Matildas (HoTM).

The CP Football sessions are about more than just sport, they provide a space for players to connect, build confidence, develop their skills, and feel a true sense of belonging within the football community.

CP Football is a modified version of the game designed for athletes with neurological conditions. Players must be able to move independently without the use of a wheelchair or mobility equipment during play.

The sport is governed internationally by the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football (IFCPF), with Football Australia overseeing national teams and Football Victoria managing the state pathway.

Sessions will take place monthly at HoTM, offering consistent opportunities for participants to get involved, stay active, and connect with others.

Program Details:

  • Dates: 23 May, 20 June, 18 July, 15 August, 5 September (Football For All Gala Day)
