Football Victoria Reports Surge in Registrations During July School Holidays

Football Victoria (FV) is thrilled to announce a remarkable increase in registrations across all events held during the July school holidays.

Upcoming Events:

  • GO Camps: September 23-25 at Knox Regional Football Centre & The Home of the Matildas
  • 5v5 Championships: September 26 at Knox Regional Football Centre
  • Nike FC Cup Juniors: September 30-October 3 at The Home of the Matildas

FV Social Football Coordinator, Alex Dore said the July school holidays were a "triumph" for junior football players.

"It was fantastic to see so many young athletes braving the cold to participate in both competitions and camps," he explained.

"A personal highlight was witnessing the excitement of the young female footballers at the FV Girls Cup, with painted faces and smiles all around. Thank you to Keilor Park Soccer Club for hosting this competition."

GO Camps

FV's GO Camps, designed for children of all abilities, achieved full capacity across all three venues. These camps provide a perfect opportunity for kids to develop their skills or explore a new sport in a fun, social environment.

Knox: 87 participants

The Home of the Matildas: 47 participants

FV Girls Cup

The FV Girls Cup saw a significant increase in registered teams, growing from 24 teams and 257 players in 2023 to 34 teams and 405 players in 2024.

Held at Knox Regional Football Centre on July 5, the 3v3 Championships also saw a rise in participation, offering a fast-paced, fun experience with ample ball involvement.

On July 6, the 5v5 Championships at Knox Regional Football Centre saw junior boys and girls aged 11-16 showcase their skills in a vibrant community catch-up round.
