Football Victoria (FV) is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for two (2) FV Board Director positions to be filled at the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for 25 May 2026.
As the state’s governing body continues to roll out its "Our Football" 2024-2028 Strategic Framework, these appointments represent a vital opportunity for visionary leaders to help inspire, unite, and enable all Victorians to live and love football for life.
The incoming Directors will join the Board at a pivotal time, as FV works toward its vision of equitable football for all — anywhere, anytime, and any way. Successful candidates will have a direct hand in delivering upon the five strategic pillars:
- Our Clubs & Competitions
- Our Participants
- Our Pathways
- Our Facilities
- Our Future
To add valuable depth to the Board’s composition, the Board’s current recruitment efforts are focused on identifying individuals with the following competencies:
- Investment & Fundraising: To drive FV's investment portfolio and revenue and fundraising streams.
- People & Culture: To strengthen FV's people, culture, and capability; to drive high performance, retention and engagement.
- Digital Innovation: To drive the enhancement of football operations through technology, systems, and data.
FV is always looking for candidates with a a deep understanding of the football ecosystem including governance, administration and/or management; as well as demonstrated hands-on involvement in football through recent active participation as a player, coach, referee and/or club administrator.

All candidates will be reviewed and independently assessed by the Independent Nominations Committee (INC). The INC ensures that the Board maintains a diverse balance of skills necessary to lead the state’s most popular club-based sport into its next era of growth.
