FV Celebrates Major Facility Upgrades Across Regional Victoria Under RCSIF

Football Victoria (FV) welcomes the announcement of four successful projects under the Victorian Government’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund (RCSIF), which will deliver significant upgrades to key football facilities across regional Victoria.

The RCSIF, a $60 million initiative by the Allan Labor Government, aims to enhance community sports infrastructure, focusing on inclusivity and accessibility.

FV is thrilled to highlight the following projects that have been approved for funding:

Thompson Reserve (Inverloch Stars SC)

Planned upgrades include the development of female-friendly change rooms and improved lighting, fostering greater participation among women and girls.

Dixon Field (Gisborne SC)

The project will deliver critical lighting upgrades to increase training and match capacity, helping meet the growing demand for football in the Macedon Ranges.

Victoria Park (Daylesford & Hepburn United SC)

Lighting upgrades to enhance the usability and capacity of the venue, supporting Daylesford’s local football community and enabling greater access for all participants.

Romsey Recreation Reserve (Macedon Rangers SC)

The funding will support planning and design works for lighting installation and the redevelopment of the main playing surface to guide future infrastructure investment.

Head of Government Relations & Strategy, Lachlan Cole was thrilled with the announcement and looks forward to seeing the positive effect these projects will have on the sport in these communities.

“These investments are a testament to the importance of football in regional communities.

"Upgraded facilities not only created better playing experiences but also promote social connection in the community and allow for more people to play the game they love.”
