Football Victoria (FV) can confirm that charges have been issued under FV’s Grievance & Discipline Regulations (GDR) against an Altona Magic Soccer Club coach in relation to conduct observed during a match on Saturday, 9 May 2026.
The following charges have been issued:
- R8_1: Offences against Match Officials (Unsporting Conduct)
- R8_5: Offences against Match Officials (Threatening or intimidating language and/or conduct towards a Match Official or conduct reasonably perceived as a threat of physical violence towards a Match Official or their family or property)
A total suspension of 17 matches has been applied, comprising:
- R8_1: 2 match suspension
- R8_5: 15 match suspension
In accordance with the GDR, parties retain the right to refer the above listed sanctions to the Independent Tribunal.
In addition, this sanction will result in the issuing of Strike One (under the Three Strike Policy) to Altona Magic Soccer Club. Further information regarding the Three Strike Policy can be found here.
