Football Victoria (FV) is excited to host a Futsal Coaching Certificate Course on November 27 at La Trobe University Sports Pavilion from 9am-12pm.
The course is free and aimed at anyone wanting to expand their knowledge or start their formal coaching qualification journey.
Coaches at all levels play a crucial role in ensuring that Futsal is an enjoyable experience for everyone, as well as laying the foundation for developing better players.
This three-hour course is aimed at coaches wanting to train players 13 years and below.
The course is non-assessed and all practical, allowing the candidate to get involved in the actual training sessions should they wish to. The course also encourages involving group discussion aimed at sharing experiences.
During this course, participants will be a part of sessions dealing with the fundamentals of Futsal together with other information on simple formations of play.
It is an exciting time for Futsal in Victoria with La Trobe University set to host the upcoming National Futsal Championships (NFC).
The championships began in 1980 and since then have united Australia’s finest talent for five days of fast-paced, goal-laden quality Futsal, providing competitors, officials, and spectators with memories to last a lifetime.
The NFC is the largest of Football Australia’s national tournaments, with close to 1,000 participants from over 100 teams from states and territories across Australia and historically representative teams from the Solomon Islands and New Zealand have also participated.
Numbers are STRICTLY limited and spots will be granted on a first in basis.
