Get your mates together and register a team for the Football Victoria 5 v 5 Championships taking place this upcoming school holidays.
The event is set to take place at the Knox Regional Football Centre on Saturday, July 1 from 10 am - 5 pm for Girls & Boys aged 11-16 years of age.
The competition will provide a social environment for junior boys and girls to enjoy during community competitions catch-up rounds, this will allow teams and players to enjoy social fixtures in a 5 v 5 training format.
5 v 5 is a format that is rapidly growing in popularity as it cures the frustration of those who aren’t able to touch the ball in regular soccer, especially among the youngest age levels.
Playing in this tournament will increase players' skills and ability to play under pressure with increased opportunities to be in 2 v 1 attacking and defending situations.
Each team will play a series of group games with the leaders to progress through to the finals of each age group. Competition winners will receive medals & trophies, with runner-ups also receiving medals.
