Green Gully SC has revealed Stephen Downes will continue as Senior Head Coach for the 2024 season.
In 2023, the Cavaliers finished seventh on the table, one point away from the top six with 13 wins and 12 losses.
Downes arrived at the Club late in the 2018 season and has led the side to two finals appearances across his time.
A decorated player in his own right, Downes represented Gully with distinction and helped lead the club to success, the 2011 Championship and Dockerty Cup 2013 winner was also awarded the Jimmy Rooney Medal winner for best-on-ground in the 2011 Grand Final and took out the club player of the year award in 2013.
Gully has also announced Timothy Paton will continue in his role as Senior Assistant Coach for 2024.
Paton has an AFC C Diploma and will continue to be a vital part of the coaching setup for a third season.
Steven Laurie will also remain a crucial part of the coaching landscape at the Club, accepting a Senior Assistant Coach role for next season.
With an AFC B Diploma and years of dedication to Gully under his belt having served the Club since 2018, Laurie brings continuity and a wealth of experience to the coaching team.
Green Gully recently revealed Abdul Karim has been appointed as the Senior Goalkeeping coach for 2024.
"Bringing a wealth of experience from Pascoe Vale SC and Altona Magic SC, and armed with an AFC GK Level 1 Diploma," the statement read.
