VicHealth Growing Healthy Communities Grants Opens July 3

Football Victoria invites the Victorian football community to explore VicHealth's Growing Healthy Communities Grants, opening on July 3rd. VicHealth aims to support children, young people, and families facing health barriers by investing in local programs.

Grants of up to $150,000 are available from a total pool of $4 million for projects that promote physical activity and community connections among youth.

Funding Tiers:

  • Tier 1: $10,000-$35,000 for enhancing existing initiatives
  • Tier 2: $35,001-$50,000 for piloting or expanding projects
  • Tier 3: $50,001-$150,000 for scaling proven projects or fostering sustainable impact

Eligibility:

  • Sporting, community, cultural, recreational, creative, local governments and other not-for-profit organisations who are planning to/ currently running activities for young people and their families in Victoria.  
  • Applicants must show that their programs will support children, young people and their families who:  
  • Come from lower-socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Have disabilities
  • Experience mental health or psychological distress
  • Live outside metropolitan areas
  • Identify as LGBTIQA+
  • Are First Nations people
  • Are from culturally and racially diverse communities.

Attend the Information Session (Tuesday the 9th of July 12:00-12:45pm)

  • Join VicSport for an online Grant Information Workshop where they will guide you through the essential details of our Growing Healthy Communities Grant Round. The session will discuss the grant, application process and timeline. There will also be time for discussion and to answer any questions.
