GO Soccer Mums Story of the Month: Maccabi (Caulfield)

GO Soccer Mums is designed for women to play in a social and judgment-free environment. It's not just for mums but for all women from all walks of life. It doesn't matter if you've never kicked a ball before!

To celebrate our GO Soccer Mums community, we're gathering stories from participants and sharing one per month with our wider football family.

The Maccabi GO Soccer Mums or Mummy Bees, as they’re often referred to, have established a fantastic program in Caulfield.
Working hard to ensure that all community members are represented and are allowed to play football, they pride themselves on their welcoming spirit and accepting community.
One participant said "They have gone above and beyond to create a warm and accommodating environment for the GO Soccer Mums. The group is continually growing with such great enthusiasm each week."

Program leaders Sarah and Kevin must be highlighted for their contribution to the program. They have worked hard to get the program up and running, they have seen great success in a short amount of time. This is likely due to the fun energy, positivity, and joy they bring to the  GO Soccer Mums program, which is what we’re all about.

Always looking to develop their participants and offer new opportunities, they recently played a social match against Hampton, which showed off their skills in a 6-1 victory. This story was later shared in the local paper where writer Hannah Schauder described the group as enjoying "equal parts competitiveness and laughter".

The Maccabi GO Soccer Mums capture the essence of the program and are fantastic role models in the community.
