Tome Petrevski of Westpoint SC was named Male Community Coach of the Year at the FVCIB Full-Time Luncheon on Thursday, November 16 as part of the 2023 Football Victoria Community Awards.
Only, 18 months into his coaching journey, Petrevski has displayed exceptional dedication, unwavering leadership, and remarkable commitment to not only his team, but his entire club.
Petrevski said winning the award was "super humbling" after only his first full season as Senior Men's Head Coach.
"This award is just recognition for all the hard work we put in and what we did to help promote the club the best way possible," he said.
"I would just like to thank the players, sponsors, and everyone at the club and Football Victoria for making it possible.
"I don't think this is an award i wanted to win at the start of the season, I would much rather be winning team awards but still it is amazing to get recognition for the effort and results we were able to produce throughout the year."
Petrevksi's dedication to his club and players earned him over 20 individual nominations for the award, along with West Point Soccer Club’s Presidents Award for his extraordinary service and commitment to the club.
"The club means so much to me, success at the club is super important to me, I have represented the club as a player and now as a coach and all I want to do is win games and championships and promotion, hopefully, i can put us on the map," Petrevski added.
