Football Victoria is thrilled to announce that Malvern City FC has made history by becoming the 100th club in Victoria to attain 1-Star status through the Football Australia Club Changer Program.
Club Changer is Football Australia’s Club Development Program which aims to protect and enhance our clubs, make them stronger and more resilient, lead them in building welcoming and inclusive cultures, and educate them on positive environments for players, coaches, volunteers, and officials while planning for long term viability and success.
Notably, Malvern City FC has been a pioneer in promoting women's and girls' programs in the state. With Spanish UEFA C License holder and Female Technical Director Monica Garcia Pacheco leading the way, the club is dedicated to:
- Increasing female representation on their committee.
- Collaborating with the FV CCC (Club Coach Coordinator) to educate and develop female coaches.
- Running Girls and Mums programs during the spring season, with the goal of welcoming and retaining new players, especially after the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™.
