Football Victoria (FV) can today confirm the Match Official Fees for the 2025 Fees for all FV Fixtures.
Reflecting an increased investment in referee education, development and support, as well as higher travel costs, these fees encourage retention and recruitment of new referees across the state.
The fees can be found at this link and per the 2025 payment process will be required to be made via invoice to FV in conjunction with the earlier announcement of Football Victoria’s partnership with Refbook in 2025.
Football Victoria appointed referees will not be permitted to be paid cash or cheque in 2025 at the culmination of any fixture. If a referee is appointed by a club or a fixture does not have a referee appointed to it, any payment arrangement is between the club and that Match Official.
As we continue to improve the overall talent pool of referees across the state, FV is committed to supporting and expanding opportunities for regional referees in more competitive environments across Victoria.
To assist with ensuring this is a viable option, FV utilises a standardised and aggregated travel fee model, where all clubs contribute equally to the travel fees for the competition for the benefit of football across the state.
