Kyneton District SC was named MiniRoos Centre of the Year at the FVCIB Full-Time Luncheon on Thursday, November 16 as part of the 2023 Football Victoria Community Awards.
MiniRoos Kick-Off is a grassroots Football program designed to introduce children to the fundamentals of our sport in a fun and inclusive manner.
Kate Kuyateh said it was "amazing" to get recognition from Football Victoria for all of their hard work.
"We have got such a great committee and we have such a great team of people around us and it is a good acknowledgment of the hard work everyone has been putting in," she explained.
"In the last 12 months, we have seen heaps of growth, we have gone from when it first started we had 20-30 players to this year we have just had our 158th player register for this season
"We are running it in the off-season which provides more opportunity for children to come along and play."
By strategically shifting their Mini-Roos Kick-Off Program to the summer season, Kyneton District SC witnessed an extraordinary surge in participation, catapulting from 30 participants previously during the traditional season to an astounding 150 registered MiniRoos Kick-Off participants in 2023.
