National Futsal Championships 2026 - Day 2 Wrap

Day 2 of the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships saw the tournament gather momentum at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre, with teams beginning to separate themselves as the race for Finals qualification intensified across all age groups.

After an action-packed opening day, Day 2 delivered another full schedule of high-quality futsal, with several teams maintaining unbeaten starts, others bouncing back strongly from Day 1 results, and ladder positions beginning to take clearer shape heading into the back half of the pool phase.

434 goals were scored across 66 thrilling matches, as Football Queensland recorded the highest win percentage for the day with an impressive 64% win rate, closely followed by Football NSW who won 57% of their matches.

Victorians enjoyed five wins and four draws on Day 2 of the tournament.

FV Open Women claimed their first victory with a hard-fought 5–4 win over Football West, while the Youth Women also got on the board, edging Football Queensland 3–2.

The U15 Boys recorded a strong 5–1 win against NSW Country, while the U14 Boys were the standout performers of the day, claiming two victories — a 3–1 win over NSW and a thrilling 5–3 win against Queensland.

With most teams now deep into their pool campaigns, Day 3 looms as a crucial turning point, with finals places, ladder positions and momentum all on the line.
