Heidelberg United will host the Essendon Royals in the 14th edition of the Nike FC Cup at The Home of The Matildas on Saturday August 1.
The finale of the state’s biggest senior female knockout competition will kick-off at 6pm, following the playing of the fourth Steph Catley Plate between Caroline Springs George Cross FC and Craigieburn City FC.

A ticket purchase grants access to both the Nike FC Cup Final and the Steph Catley Plate Final.
2026 Nike FC Cup Final Tickets
Gates at The Home of The Matildas will open at 1:30pm ahead of the 2:30pm kick-off of the Steph Catley Plate Final. Tickets at the gate (subject to availability): Adults $12.50, Concession and Juniors (13-17 years) $7.50.
The 2026 Nike FC Cup Final and Steph Catley Plate Final will also be streamed, live and free, on the Football Victoria YouTube Channel.
Heidelberg will get their chance to go one win better than their 2025 Cup campaign, where they fell to South Melbourne in penalties.
This will be Essendon’s first chance at bringing home the Nike FC Cup since their senior women’s program was re-established in 2014.
While their Senol NPL Women’s campaign has been difficult so far, knocking out their rivals and reigning Nike FC Cup champions South Melbourne on the road in Tuesday night’s Semi Final will no doubt give them plenty of confidence coming into the Final.
Meanwhile the Royals have been strong in all formats so far this season and locked in their first ever Nike FC Cup Final appearance with a thrilling come from behind 4-2 road win over Bulleen.
For the second year in a row, Heidelberg United will be represented in both the Nike FC Cup Final and the New Balance Dockerty Cup Final, where Heidelberg will take on the Preston Lions at Lakeside Stadium on Saturday August 8.
