North Geelong SC nominated to be part of the Australian Sports Commission National Volunteer Webinar on Wednesday, May 8.
National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. This year’s theme is ‘Something for Everyone’ highlighting there’s a place for everyone in the world of volunteering.
Volunteering in sports is vital for the success of all community clubs and provides an opportunity for the diverse members of the community to come together, support each other and feel connected.
North Geelong Warriors' Denis and Courtney Vodopic will be joined by fellow guest speakers:

North Geelong was invited by Football Australia as part of the Club Changer – Club Development Program focusing on the Club Workforce. The Club Changer National Volunteer & Workforce Focus Group was designed to understand the importance of volunteers in a community football club and work closely with the clubs to support and develop a volunteer & workforce plan.
1 Star Club Changer Clubs were invited to be part of the 3 series webinar.

- Volunteers & Foundations
- Volunteering - Gearing up for the season ahead; On-boarding volunteers and being prepared.
North Geelong developed a volunteer plan that identified overall roles, average hours require, specific skillset required and gaps of improvement. Through the Volunteer Focus Group North Geelong were able to create a volunteer recruitment roadmap.
The webinar will allow attendees to hear from community Clubs who have successfully transformed their culture around volunteering to ensure there is a space for everyone within their clubs.
