Join us in celebrating All-Abilities April, where we shine a spotlight on events, stories, and initiatives that champion inclusion in football!
At the heart of this celebration is the All-Abilities football program, designed to cater to individuals with disabilities or impairments. It's a testament to football's power to adapt and create an environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of their challenges.
Northern Falcons FC holds a unique place in this narrative, being the pioneering Club to establish an All-Abilities program back in 2009. Anthony Risoli, the Program Coordinator, reflects on the journey with pride: "It's been an absolute pleasure seeing the happiness and confidence our players gain through the program."
The impact of the program is evident in the stories of its participants. Kyle Delmo, a dedicated member, shares his enthusiasm: "I love the program. It's not just about football; it's about getting people outside, active, and building strong bonds."
Penny Koutroulos, another valued member, echoes the sentiment: "Being part of this team means a lot to me. It's a safe space where I can play the sport I love and be part of a supportive community."
As the 2024 All-Abilities League kicks off this Saturday, Northern Falcons FC invites everyone to be part of this journey. Anthony encourages others to embrace inclusivity: "Don't be afraid to start. You'll learn and grow together with the program."
