The stage is set for a blockbuster 2025 Senol NPLW Victoria Grand Final, after Heidelberg United and Box Hill United won through to the season finale in a dramatic Saturday of women's football.

Box Hill were the first team to book their spot in the Grand Final, following their stunning 3-1 win over the Bulleen in the 4pm match at the Veneto Club.
Bulleen opened the scoring early thanks to their superstar winger Danella Butrus. But the lead was short lived, as Rhianna Pollicina's breathtaking freekick curled around the Bulleen wall and into the back of the net. And in the shadows of the halftime break, Josephine Aulicino put Box Hill in-front with a stunning individual effort.
The second half was a tight and entertaining affair, with both sides creating plenty of opportunities. Bulleen had a goal disallowed 10 minutes into the half before Box Hill put the game beyond doubt, when Sienna Techera pounced on a loose ball in the Bulleen box.
30-minutes later, Heidelberg booked their spot in next Saturday's Grand Final, defeating the Essendon Royals in a tough and tight contest at Olympic Village.
Sawa Matsuda was the lone goal-scorer for the match, making no mistake when given a free shot at goal from point blank range in the tenth minute.
From their it was an arm wrestle, with moment shifting back and forth until the final whistle. The Royals had their chances to level the scores late, but could never land the decisive blow as Heidelberg kept their dreams of going back-to-back alive.
The 2025 NPLW Victoria Senol Grand Final will kick-off at 4pm next Saturday, September 14, at The Home of The Matildas at La Trobe University in Bundoora.
Next Saturday is the start of an enormous weekend of football in Victoria, with Lakeside Stadium set to host the Senol 2025 NPLM Victoria Grand Final as well as the VPLM1 and VPLM2 Play-off finals on Sunday, September 14.
