NPLW Coach of the Year joins Heidelberg United FC

Loui Spiridis has re-joined Heidelberg United as NPLW Head Coach after two seasons with Bayside United. 

Spiridis was recognised as the 2023 NPLW Coach of the Year for his efforts in Bayside winning seven matches in 2023.
 
Heidelberg United "welcomed back" Spiridis to the Club in a statement on social media. 
 
"During his time away from the club he has managed youth teams at both Box Hill and Dandenong City," the statement read. 
 
"Over the last two years however he was instrumental in revamping the senior women's program at Bayside United this year deservedly received the FV NPL Women's Coach of the Year award at Gold Medal Night.
 
"We wish Loui all the best in Season 2024."
 
The news follows Spiridis and his assistant Kalhan Karwani resigning from their positions in Bayside United's NPLW Program at the conclusion of the season. 
 
Bayside United FC wished Loui and Kal "all the best in their future endeavors" in a post on their social media. 
 
"The club would like to thank Loui and Kal for the professionalism and vigour they brought to our Senior Program over the past 18 months which resulted in significant improvements in performance," the statement continued.
