Following a thorough investigation, Football Victoria (FV) has issued Preston Lions FC (PLFC) with a second strike under its Three Strike Policy, related to events on Saturday, 18 July.
Strike 2 triggers a 3-point deduction for PLFC’s Senior NPLM team. The ladder has now been updated to reflect this sanction at fv.dribl.com.
The events have also been referred to the independent Tribunal, who may consider additional penalties.
Although the 3 Strike Policy is primarily focused on the protection of Match Officials, strikes can be issued for incidents that bring the game into disrepute and/or for repeated serious misconduct offences demonstrated by a club or club associates.
FV will provide a final update following the Independent Tribunal proceedings, scheduled for the evening of Tuesday 18 August.
